We understand that the nearest Mosques and Halal meat stores are in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Here are some directions, if you are without a car, to take a train from Harrogate to get to two of Leeds' mosques and some Halal meat stores.

Take the train from Harrogate, (or Knaresborough, Starbeck, Hornbeam Park, etc) to Burley Park train station in Leeds: we understand the cost is about £7.20 return;

Walk out at the exit (not up the stairs);

Turn right at the Co-op store then go along Cardigan Road; 

Turn left into Brudenell Road and take the next right at the Makkah Mosque  http://www.makkahmasjid.co.uk/ into Thornville Road;

Next right into Royal Park Road and walk up there until you meet a crossroads with Barakah (an Arab tea house/restaurant, which we understand offers Halal food);

Turn right onto Queens Road;

Walk past the Royal Park Public house;

Continue along Queens Road, and turn left at the end onto Alexandra Road and walk along there, opposite the end is a grey concrete building - that is the Grand Mosque.  http://www.leedsgrandmosque.com/ 

On the walk you will have passed several Halal meat shops and stores, inshallah.
